Elmwood International School Celebrates Its First Anniversary

A year ago, Elmwood International School opened its doors with a clear purpose: to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment where children could develop their knowledge, confidence, creativity and character.

Today, we celebrate the first chapter of that vision.

From the early stages of construction to the lively classrooms, learning spaces and school community we see today, Elmwood's first year has been marked by growth, discovery and many memorable moments. It has been a year of learning not only for our students, but for everyone who has helped shape the school.

Our first anniversary is therefore more than a celebration of reaching one year. It is a moment to reflect on where we started, appreciate how far we have come and look forward to what lies ahead.

From Vision to Reality

The story of Elmwood began with a vision to create a welcoming environment where children could learn, explore and develop with confidence. Over the past year, that vision has taken shape.

From the early stages of construction to the classrooms and learning spaces now filled with the energy of our students, Elmwood has undergone a remarkable transformation.

Today, the school provides a range of spaces designed to support different aspects of children's development, including spacious classrooms, science laboratories, a library, music and art studio, swimming pool and splash area, and safe outdoor spaces.

A Year of Learning and Experiences

The past year has brought many opportunities for our students to learn both inside and outside the classroom.

Alongside their academic learning, students have taken part in swimming, sports, music, art, cooking, science activities and other hands-on experiences. These activities have allowed them to develop practical skills, express their creativity and discover new interests.

Each classroom experience, school activity and special event has contributed to the character of the Elmwood experience.

Celebrating the Elmwood Community

The anniversary celebration brought together students, parents, teachers and staff to mark the occasion.

It was a time to share memories, appreciate the progress made and recognise the people who have helped shape Elmwood during its first year. For the school community, the celebration was a reflection of the relationships that have developed since opening day.

Parents, in particular, have played an important role in the journey. Their trust, support and partnership have helped create a strong foundation for the years ahead.

Elmwood's first anniversary also comes at an exciting point in its development. The school is now an accredited Cambridge International School, an important milestone that strengthens its commitment to providing a high-quality, internationally recognised education.
